What is it with international airfares and flying?
I am looking to go to el salvador in march and to fly from pittsburgh I would fly to DC then el salvador for 730$. If I did costa rica, I would do the same flight and catch another one in el salvador to costa rica and that is 530$.

it's a game you play comparing companys and fares and when you find a cheap fare beware of what that fare is.It may look too good to be true and sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't

Maybe there is a promotion going on to go to Costa Rica or not enough passengers so the ticket prices are lowered to attract passengers.
