i need a location in between new york city (queens) and pennsylvania (pittsburgh)?
please i really need your help here. i'm 21 years old and right now i am a student teaching full time until may when i will graduate. i have this friend who i really need to see(long story, but i cant go there)neway, right now my friend is in nyc and i am in pgh, pa. we have to find a way to see each other - we can only do it on a saturday because i have school everyday during the week and can't miss and i have to leave early saturday morning and be home at a decent time saturday night. this wouldn't be so tricky except for the fact that neither of our parents can know what we are doing. i was thinking about a plane, but i would need to find a way to the airport - find a flight that leaves early, and also be able to make it back at a decent time - i checked tickets and they are around 160. i want to drive but it is like a 7 hour drive one way and that's most of the day there. i was wondering if anyone knew maybe like a point in between where we could meet. any ideas?

Distance-wise, half way would be somewhere like Harrisberg, PA. It's cheapest and fastest to fly Southwest Pittsburgh to Philadelphia ($39 1-way) it takes about 1 hour. Meanwhile, your friend can take the subway (R?) to Penn station in Manhattan to take the New Jersey transit train to Trenton, NJ ($11.50 1-way) about 1 and 1/2 hr . Once you're in Philly/Trenton, you can rent a car or use Philadelphia's Septa regional rail. Septa goes to both the Philly airport and Trenton.
