can I find cheap international flight around $700 in summer

can I find cheap international flight around $700 in summer?
Im trying to book a flight Madrid, Spain to Pittsburgh, PA or Buffalo or Erie, PA in mid-August to mid-September. i can't barely find anything less than a $1000. is there anyway to find that flight for around $700? I know that it is the summer so the rates are higher. Ive looked and looked. need help.

the standard time period to find the cheapest international flight is between 8-12 weeks before your departure date. if its less then 8 weeks then the flights will be more expensive. so your cutting it real close and probably wont find anything under $1000. And since its summer i doubt it would have been that much under a $1000 anyway. All i can suggest is to buy the ticket ASAP because they will only become more expensive. for example i purchased 2 round trip tickets from JFK to warsaw, poland via helsinki 2 weeks ago for september 1st. Each ticket round trip was $503 and that was at around the 8 week mark. I check a few days later put of curiousity and the tickets jumped almost $200 and now are way over $700. so my advice once again, buy the tickets ASAP before they sky rocket even more.

Try Skyscanner, one of the best sites I've seen for cheap flights, especially if your dates are flexible as they show you fares for each day on every month. Here's a link to them http://www.dpbolvw.net/ol97shqnhp487ACBAC465B7ED98
