UK citizens can travel to the USA as a tourist for up to 90 days at a time without a visa on the Visa Waiver Program: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html Register with ESTA at least 72 hours in advance. The earlier the better (it's free): https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ Have with you a letter from your parents stating they know you are traveling to the USA, and a letter from the family you will visit stating you will stay with them. Each airline has it's own Unaccompanied Minor policy, but most of them make it optional for passengers who are age 15. From your itinerary it appears you will fly KLM and Northwest Airlines. If yes both allow someone age 15 to use the UM service. You can decide if you want to use it (it's optional), but realize you will be closely supervised for the whole trip if you do. http://www.klm.com/travel/ae_en/travel_information/travel_planning/children/index.htm#2 http://www.nwa.com/services/onboard/minor/
