I lived in Pittsburgh for a few months, but St. Louis was my home town, so I frequently made trips between the two. At the time, I always used US Airways because their hub was in Pittsburgh, so they were usually the cheapest. Since then, they've moved their hub out, but you can still find reasonable ticket prices. I would check www.usairways.com. Southwest is another great option (and airline), and you can check their rates at www.southwest.com. Keep in mind that the flights on Southwest fly into a different terminal at the St. Louis airport, so if anyone is picking you up, you need to tell them to pick you up in Terminal B. And, if all else fails and you can't find a cheap enough ticket, check www.sidestep.com. This will search most major airlines, and these airlines are going to be reliable to get you from Pit to STL.
