How do you find airline flights for standby

How do you find airline flights for standby?
I need a flight from Pittsburgh PA to Orlando FL for less than $69.00 between now and Mar 17th? I usually fly Southwest.

Standby is the term commonly used for airline employees that are traveling or if a passenger who is already ticketed and has paid for a flight requires a different flight they will "stand by" to see if they are able to get onto a different flight. Normally unless paid passengers were bumped due to overbooking there is a fee for them to fly standby.

Start looking now. Check farecompare.com because they will show you all the airlines' prices for your date range (it's a great site) and if you find a fare that is close to your price range, buy it. Fares rarely go down last-minute unless airlines are running a special sale--- check the various airline sites for "weekend getaways" or "e-savers." There's no such thing as cheap standby any more. These days, when you standby, it's only in cases where you have a ticket already; you can stand by for an earlier flight, or if your original flight was cancelled or delayed, you can stand by for an alternate. But there's pretty much no chance of walking up to the ticket counter and buying at a discount on the day of travel.
